Cleaning & Housework

Unique Life Services provides in-home support to assist participants with light domestic tasks, based on their individual NDIS plan. Our trained support workers can work alongside participants or complete tasks independently, depending on the supports available under Core or Capacity Building funding.

Support can include laundry, stripping and making beds, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms and light dusting. Participants supply their own cleaning products and equipment so we can work with the items they are comfortable using in their home. Our focus is on regular household support that helps maintain a safe and tidy living environment.

FAQ

  • Can you help me with meals?

Yes, we can. ULS are always encouraging participants to achieve their goals and gain new skills.

  • What is domestic help under the NDIS?

Domestic help includes support with everyday household tasks you can’t safely do on your own. This may include cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, changing bed linen or taking out the rubbish. These supports aim to help you maintain a clean and safe home. They are usually funded under the Core Supports budget.

  • Can I choose how often domestic help is provided?

Yes, the frequency of domestic help depends on your individual needs and the funding in your plan. Some people may need support every week, while others may only need it occasionally. You can discuss what works best for you during your planning meeting or with your support coordinator. Changes can also be made if your needs change over time.
