Round-the-clock Support

At our accommodation facilities, we have staff to assist with nutrition, meal planning, cooking, personal care, medication, transportation and a range of other services. Whether you want to see a movie, go out for a meal, check out a local attraction or simply get to know other people, Unique Life Services is here to facilitate. We consider our short-term accommodation facilities to be a home away from home for people with a disability. FAQ

  • Can ULS assist me to seek accommodation long term and respite?

Yes. ULS has an innovative accommodation approach and we have many families currently working toward developing the most suitable accommodation option for their family members.

  • What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?

SIL is a type of NDIS support that helps people with disability live as independently as possible in a shared or individual home. It includes help with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, and personal care. SIL is designed for people who need regular support throughout the day. This support is usually provided in a shared living arrangement with other NDIS participants.

  • How is SIL different from other home supports?

SIL provides ongoing daily support in a shared living environment, while other supports (like personal care or domestic help) may be provided at your own home on a flexible basis. SIL usually involves a team of support workers who are available day and night. It’s more structured and is typically for people who need a higher level of assistance.
